212 Tufnell Park, an end of terrace victorian property has been occupied by the same client for over 20 years with the ground floor serving as a retail unit. WMG were asked to propose a redesign of the existing form to allow for conversion to residential use. The proximity of the site to the nearby conservation area meant that any material and massing changes needed to sensitive. The scheme proposes 4 self contained units of varied occupancy; WMG were able to create a flexible and adaptable layout without altering the above ground volume. Following a planning committee meeting in February 2012, the scheme was approved for planning. Detail design and construction to follow.
